A circuit lab for your classroom

Create a classroom, share a join link, assign a circuit and review what your students hand in. DCACLab runs in a web browser.

How a classroom works

Three steps, all from the teacher dashboard.

1. Create a classroom and share the link

Each classroom you create gets its own join code and a share link. Students open the link, sign in and are added to your class.

  • Copy the class link and send it by email or through your school's learning platform
  • Add students in bulk from your teacher dashboard
  • Students can join while your institutional license has free seats

2. Assign a circuit

Choose a circuit as the starting point and set a due date. When a student opens the assignment, they get their own copy to work on.

  • Set a due date for each assignment
  • Choose whether students can resubmit
  • Control what students see: hide the current flow or the property panel, or allow them to add new components

Assignment No.3 - Power Rails 10/12/2025 8 submissions
Assignment No.4 - Switching Relay 10/13/2025 7 submissions
Assignment No.8 - Output Control 10/14/2025 6 submissions

3. Review and grade submissions

Open the circuit each student handed in and enter a mark.

  • See a thumbnail of every submitted circuit
  • Enter a mark on each submission
  • Download the submissions

What students build with

Students work in the same virtual lab as everyone else on DCACLab. It includes:

  • Sources, resistors, capacitors, inductors and potentiometers
  • Diodes, LEDs, bipolar transistors and MOSFETs
  • Operational amplifiers, transformers, relays and switches
  • Logic gates and integrated circuits
  • Digital and analog multimeters, an oscilloscope and a wattmeter

Plans for classrooms and schools

Classrooms are set up under a school or institutional license, which also sets how many student seats you have. See the current plans, or tell us about your school and we will send you a quote.

Buying for a school?

Purchases are processed by FastSpring, our authorized reseller. Tax and vendor-setup details are on the procurement page.

Frequently asked questions

How do students join a classroom?

Share the class link from your classroom page. Students open it, sign in and are added to the class. Joining needs a free seat on your institutional license, and archived classrooms cannot be joined.

Can I assign a circuit I built?

Yes. An assignment starts from a template circuit that you set up. Each student gets their own copy, so your original stays as it is.

Where do students do the work?

In a web browser, signed in to their own account. Each assignment opens in the circuit lab.

Can I see and grade submissions?

Yes. Open a submission to see the circuit and enter a mark. You can also download the submissions.

How is billing handled?

Purchases are processed by FastSpring, our authorized reseller, which is the seller named on the invoice. Schools that need vendor paperwork can use the procurement page (English) or ask for a quote.

What is an institutional license?

A license for a school or institution. Classrooms and student seats are set up under it, so students can join through the class link. Ask us for a quote to set one up.

Do you offer a quote for a school?

Yes. Send a request with your school name, the number of students and how long you need access, and the team will get back to you.
